British Airways

On May 31, 2024,  British Airways held an event to unveil its completely renovated luxury lounge at Lagos Airport after a six-month refurbishment. The cleverly designed space offers customers more room to enjoy an upgraded food and beverage experience, allowing them to relax, dine, or work in a premium environment. The lounge also showcases local art from Akoje Gallery.

Irvine Partners was engaged to manage media relations for the event. This included inviting and managing media attendance, distributing the press release, organising one-on-one interviews, and monitoring and reporting on the news coverage. We had in attendance twelve media outlets covering aviation, news, and lifestyle.

The event attracted attendees including British Airways staff, aviation enthusiasts, airport workers, government officials, and other key opinion leaders (KOFs).

We secured a total of 65 pieces of coverage across top broadcast, print, and online media outlets, effectively communicating British Airways' commitment to its Nigerian customers and to the growth of the Nigerian aviation sector.
