The Group Account Director will oversee multiple account teams, driving client satisfaction, delivering strategic value, and ensuring operational excellence. This senior role will act as a bridge between clients and our creative, PR, and digital teams, ensuring seamless integration of campaigns across all platforms.

Key responsibilities:
Client management:
- Act as the primary contact for key client accounts, nurturing strong, trusted relationships.
- Lead the development of innovative, multi-channel strategies that align with client objectives.
- Proactively identify opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts.
Team leadership:
- Oversee and mentor a team of Account Directors, ensuring high standards of client service and professional development.
- Work closely with Business Unit Directors to align team performance with company goals.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Strategic oversight:
- Ensure all campaigns are strategically aligned, data-informed, and executed to the highest quality.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, new technologies, and market opportunities to inform strategies.
- Review and approve key deliverables, ensuring they meet client expectations and align with brand archetypes.
Operational excellence:
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and optimise resource allocation.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and account profitability.
- Lead pitches and proposals for prospective clients.
Stakeholder engagement:
- Represent Irvine Partners in high-level client and industry engagements.
- Advocate for the agency’s vision, values, and innovative approach in all external interactions.

The Business Unit Director plays an essential role in the senior leadership team by providing strategic and operational input. We expect this person to possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions within the leadership team, delegate effectively, support initiatives, and remain accountable for the rollout of client campaigns within the PR and Comms agency across various sectors. They must undertake ongoing monitoring and assessment of best practice in the category, identifying opportunities for adoption. Attracting, retaining, and growing the best account management team in the industry is crucial, along with supporting knowledge transfer and upskilling through relevant learning channels. They will implement strategic initiatives, monitor workflow processes, optimise internal and external resource allocation, and excel in writing, pitching, and presenting. Ultimately, they will develop the account management team to create and seamlessly deliver integrated campaigns that meet client expectations and deliverables.
Requirements:
- A relevant PR/ Comms/ Journalism degree or higher.
- At least 9-12 years of relevant experience in the PR and Comms/ agency industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a team or leadership capacity.
- Excellent writing, speaking and presenting skills.
- Innovative, good problem solver.
