Black British Theatre Awards

The Black British Theatre Awards (BBTAs) is the UK's only awards ceremony dedicated to celebrating the excellence and influence of Black performers and creatives in the theatre industry. Established to illuminate, celebrate, and accelerate Black excellence in theatre, the BBTAs shine a light on the breadth and depth of Black talent in the UK.

To grab attention and spark dialogue, Irvine Partners conducted an Act for Action survey that highlights challenges Black theatre professional face, with topics such equal pay and job opportunities confronted head on.

Alongside this, IP also leveraged BBTA founder Solange Urdang's OBE across traditional and non-traditional platforms, showcasing her tireless efforts to amplify the voices of marginalised artists, challenge the status quo and promote inclusivity and diversity.
